Date/Time: Wednesday, September 26 2018 at 05:30 pm

Location: Milbank 28 Liberty Street New York, NY 10005

Worried about how you will get your required one hour of CLE in Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias? Worry no more. Our September 26th program - Oops! Implicit Bias, Racial Anxiety, and Stereotype Threat - will satisfy this new CLE requirement.

Rachel Godsil, co-founder and director of research for the Perception Institute, will start off the evening by presenting research evidence from the mind sciences demonstrating how unconscious phenomena - including implicit bias, racial anxiety, and stereotype threat -- can affect our decision-making and interactions, ultimately undermining goals of objectivity and fairness. In the second half of the program, team members will enact scenarios designed to elicit audience discussion, including use of evidence-based strategies recommended by Rachel to address these phenomena. Please RSVP quickly, as we expect this to be a sell-out program.

Social hour: 5:30-6:30 pm.  Program: 6:30-8:00 pm.
