Please join us for a lively panel discussion about emerging issues in commercial litigation in New York City and Long Island. This program, jointly hosted with the Theodore Roosevelt American Inn of Court (located in Nassau County), will feature the following panelists from the federal and state judiciaries: • Justice Timothy Driscoll, New York Supreme Court, Commercial Division, Nassau County • Judge Nicholas Garaufis, Eastern District of New York • Justice Barbara Kapnick, New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department • Justice Saliann Scarpulla, New York Supreme Court, Commercial Division, New York County • Judge Shira Scheindlin, Southern District of New York • Judge Richard J. Sullivan, Southern District of New York Topics may include pleadings in state and federal court, motions to dismiss, the use of mediators and special masters, and coordination of related cases in state and federal court. The program will be held in Room 850 at the U.S. Courthouse at 500 Pearl Street. Please remember that unless you have an appropriate pass for that courthouse, you will need to check your phone.
