Artificial Intelligence
Please join us on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM for an enlightening program on Artificial Intelligence hosted by the New York American Inn of Court. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, followed by an engaging program from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
This event will take place at Norton Rose Fulbright and will be divided into three sections:
- The Technology: we will start with a helpful primer for beginners, giving an overview of AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, and large language models, as well as generative AI and its legal implications. We will also explore sector-specific AI considerations in banking, insurance, and healthcare. Annmarie Giblin will lead this discussion.
- The Law: a lively discussion of the legal compliance landscape, addressing international frameworks and U.S. initiatives like Executive Order 14110 and OMB Memo M-24-10, and early litigation trends particularly with respect to copyright infringement cases. This portion will be led by David Straite.
- Legal Ethics: a timely discussion of professional liability issues related to the use of artificial intelligence in your legal practice, including most importantly the duty of competency. This portion will be led by Eugene Frenkel.
This is a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and engage with cutting-edge AI developments that are shaping the future of the legal profession. This program will qualify for 1.0 hours of New York “Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Protection” credit, and 0.5 hours of New York ethics credits.
