James L. Petigru Inn continues to team up with Operation Home amidst the Covid-19 pandemic

The Community Outreach Committee is headed by Britt Kelly.

On November 20, 2021 members of the James L. Petigru Inn participated in its annual wheelchair ramp build in the Charleston community. The Inn annually partners with Operation Home a wonderful non-profit organization that provides critical need repairs for needy families in the tri-County area.

This time the Inn provided a provided a much-needed wheelchair ramp for an elderly woman who has become wheelchair bound after living in her home for nearly 40 years. As a result, she has been unable to leave her home without the aid of two neighbors. This wheelchair ramp improved her mobility and gave her back her independence. When Operation Home received the homeowner's request they knew just the team to help on this project and as usual the James L. Petigru Inn members of the Inn were glad to assist.

Several members of the Inn (Britt Kelly, Scott Bischoff, Brian Quisenberry and Alissa Lietzow) showed up to help a neighbor in need who was ecstatic to regain her independence . Thanks to Operation Home and the Petigru Inn the homeowner is now able to live safely in their home.
