James L. Petigru Inn continues to team up with Operation Home amidst the Covid-19 pandemic
The Community Outreach Committee is headed by Britt Kelly.
On March 27, 2021 members of the James L. Petigru Inn participated in a wheelchair ramp build in the Charleston community. The Inn annually partners with Operation Home a wonderful non-profit organization that provides critical need repairs for needy families in the tri-County area.
This time the Inn provided a much-needed wheelchair ramp for an elderly woman who needed an improved wheelchair ramp. The family was referred to Operation Home who was very concerned about her safety. And Operation Home knew just the team to help on this project. The woman was unable to get out of her home unassisted and while she had two sons to assist there was not a sufficient wheelchair ramp in place to get her out of the home. The members of the Inn were glad to assist as this has become an annual project for the members who are always looking for ways to give back.
Several members of the Inn (Ryan Neville, Britt Kelly, Scott Bischoff, Brian Quisenberry., Michael Jordan and Nickisha Woodward) showed up to help a neighbor in need who was ecstatic to regain some sense of independence again. Thanks to Operation Home and the Petigru Inn the homeowners are now able to live safely in their home.
