United States District Court Southern District of New York,
Daniel Patrick Moynihan United States Courthouse, Jury Assembly
Room, 500 Pearl Street New York, NY 10007-1312
In January, New York and the legal community lost one of
the giants of our profession with the passing of former Chief Judge
Judith Kaye. On May 11, we will examine and celebrate Judge Kaye's
legacy with an in-depth look at her jurisprudence and
ground-breaking court innovations,
including the reform of New York's jury system, the development of
the Commercial Division, the institution of other specialized
problem solving courts, and the rise of New York as an
international arbitration center. You will hear from people who
worked with Judge Kaye to make her vision a reality. Please join us
for what should be a memorable evening, and a fitting tribute to
one of the nation's finest jurists.
