In recognition of Justice Carson's many years of outstanding service to the bench and bar, the Oregon State Bar has named an award after him. Justice Carson will be the first recipient of the Wallace P. Carson, Jr. Award for Judicial Excellence, which will be presented on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at noon at the Heritage Ballroom in the Governor Hotel in Portland.
