December Meeting Announcements:

Here's what's happening at the American Inns of Court national office as part of your member benefits and some ways for you to get involved:

  • Annual Appeal-The 2019 Annual Appeal is in full swing! This fundraising campaign aims to support the American Inns of Court scholarship programs, education efforts, and the expansion of Inns and membership. All member are encouraged to donate now at home.innsofcourt.org/AnnualAppeal
  • Apply for a Pegasus Scholarship-Associate members with two to seven years of experience are encouraged to apply for a 2020 Pegasus Scholarship. Applications are due January 17, 2020 and can be found at home.innsofcourt.org/PegasusScholarships.
  • 2020 ABOTA National Trial College-ABOTA has extended an invitation for American Inns of Court members to register for their 2020 ABOTA National Trial College being held in June at Yale Law School. More information is available at home.innsofcourt.org/ABOTA_NTC
  • Write forThe Bencher-The theme for the May/June 2020 issue is "Protecting the Vunerable". The submission deadline is February 1. Visithome.innsofcourt.org/Bencher for details.

2019 Annual Appeal

Your support matters! Pegasus Scholarship

The Pegasus Scholarship program, a six-week exchange program to London to learn about the English legal system, is open to Associate members with two to seven years of professional experience. Applications are due January 17, 2020. More information and an application can be found athome.innsofcourt.org/PegasusScholarships.

2020 ABOTA National Trial College

ABOTA has extended an opportunity for eligible American Inns of Court members to apply for their2020 ABOTA National Trial College. The 2020 National Trial College, being held in June at Yale Law School, will be taught by ABOTA attorneys and aims to teach trial skills to young attorneys. The application deadline is January 10, 2020 with 36 applicants being accepted. Registration is $4,995 and includes a private room, planned meals, and the program materials; some financial aid is available. More information is available at home.innsofcourt.org/ABOTA_NTC.

The Editorial Board for The Bencher is looking for articles about "Protecting the Vunerable" for the May/June 2020 issue. The deadline for submissions is February 1. Details about the theme along with the editorial policy and submissions guidelines can be found at home.innsofcourt.org/Bencher.
