Celebrating 25 Years of Historic Trial Presentations
JAMES C. CAWOOD, JR. INN OF COURT
In 1998, Judge James C. Cawood, Jr., our namesake, began the tradition of presenting lively re-enactments of historical trials, presented in Walter Cronkite's "And You Were There" format. Although Judge Cawood passed away in 2007, we have proudly carried on this tradition.
Our Inn's annual Historic Trial Presentation each April remains an extremely well-attended event, drawing many guests from the local legal community.
Our April 2024 presentation of The Treason Trial of Aaron Burr (1807) will be our 25th annual Historic Trial Presentation.
