Our Mission

The Oliver Seth American Inn of Court is dedicated to fostering excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility, and legal skills within the legal community. As part of the American Inns of Court, we strive to bridge the gap between the academic study of law and the practice of law, emphasizing mentorship, education, and collegiality among members.

Our History

Named in honor of Judge Oliver Seth, a distinguished jurist known for his commitment to justice and legal education, the Inn was established to uphold the highest standards of legal practice. The Inn follows the traditions of the English Inns of Court, bringing together experienced practitioners, judges, and law students in a collaborative and educational environment.

Membership and Structure

The Oliver Seth American Inn of Court includes members at different stages of their legal careers, categorized into four levels:

  • Masters of the Bench (Judges, Senior Lawyers, and Legal Scholars)
  • Barristers (Experienced Attorneys)
  • Associates (Less Experienced Attorneys)
  • Pupils (Law Students and New Practitioners)

By fostering relationships among these groups, the Inn provides a structured yet informal setting for mentorship and professional growth.

Programs and Activities

The Inn hosts monthly meetings that include educational programs, discussions, and networking opportunities.
