Welcome to the Lorna E. Lockwood Inn of Court Website!

The Lorna E. Lockwood Inn of Court is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and was founded in 1993. Our Inn is named after The Honorable Lorna E. Lockwood, the first woman to serve as a state Supreme Court Chief Justice.

Our Inn typically meets the third Wednesday of each month, from September to May (except December).

Our Objectives:

1. To establish a society of judges, lawyers, legal educators, law students, and affiliated professionals, to promote excellence in legal advocacy.

2. To foster greater understanding and appreciation of the adversary system of dispute resolution with focus on ethics, civility, professionalism, and legal skills.

3. To provide educational experiences that improve and enhance the abilities of our members.

4. To promote collegiality among all legal professionals.

5. To facilitate the development of law students, recent graduates, and new lawyers.

6. To preserve and pass ethical values from one generation of legal professionals to the next.

7. To inspire joy in legal advocacy as a service worthy of constant effort and learning.
