Membership in the Leo Bearman, Sr. Inn is conferred by
invitation. Our Inn has two overall categories of members:
Active Members and Emeritus Members.
Active Members are divided into four sub-categories:
- Masters: Judges, lawyers, and law
teachers who have been members of the legal profession for more
than fifteen years
- Barristers: Lawyers and law teachers who
have been members of the legal profession for more than five but
not more than fifteen years
- Associates: Lawyers who have been
members of the legal profession for five years or less
- Pupils: Law school students
The term of Masters, Barristers, and Associates is three years,
and the term of Pupils is one year.
Emeritus membership may be conferred upon an active Master with
at least five years of distinguished service to the Inn, and
continues for the life of the member.
