Attached is a meeting notice for
the Inn's final meeting of the program year, which is scheduled for
May 6, 2015. As you know, each year the Inn has its Gala
Event at the Wren Hall at the College of William & Mary. This
unique event in this intimate and historic hall is the highlight of
our year and a tradition that the Board is committed to preserving
and supporting. In doing so, however, we confront the issue
that there is limited space in Wren Hall. Over the last five years,
we have had the good fortune to see our Inn grow in popularity and
strength. As a result, we have limited space for the Annual Dinner
and must ask your help in making this dinner a continued
success. Please RSVP as early as possible and no later than
the date we have set. If space is available, we would like to
include guests, as we have in past years, but we can only do so
after accommodating our members. If you would like to bring a
guest, please let us know and we will contact you if space is
This will be a plated-dinner meeting rather than buffet-style,
therefore, please review the notice for details and RSVP to this
email address with your meal choice no later than April 27, 2015.
The speaker for the meeting will be
the U.S. Magistrate Judge Tommy Miller, who will be retiring from
the bench in August after 28 years of service.
For this meeting, in conjunction
with the law school, we will also be conducting a School Supply
Drive to benefit the YWCA of South Hampton Roads and the Avalon
Center for Women and Children. Please see the attached flyer
and bring whatever school supplies you can. As you may
remember, in the fall we conducted a coat drive and it was a great
success. Let's show our support once again.
Finally, at this meeting, we will
be electing officers and board members for the upcoming year.
A slate of proposed officers will be sent to you soon. All
masters and judges are eligible to vote.
