The Hon. Robert J. Bryan American Inn of Court

 

The Hon. Robert J. Bryan American Inn of Court was established as the 25th chartered American Inn of Court and was originally founded under the name Puget Sound American Inn of Court. The Inn serves as a prestigious legal fellowship dedicated to fostering excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility, and legal skills among judges, lawyers, and law students in the region. On December 13, 2004, the chapter was formally renamed to honor The Honorable Robert J. Bryan, the distinguished U.S. District Court Judge who served as the Inn's inaugural President and founding leader. This name change reflects the Inn's deep respect for Judge Bryan's exemplary service to the legal profession and his instrumental role in establishing the organization's enduring commitment to legal excellence and mentorship.

 

The Hon. Robert J. Bryan American Inn of Court is honored to receive and maintain the highest distinction bestowed upon an Inn, the Achieving Excellence - Platinum Level Distinction. The Achieving Excellence program is a tier-based program in which the American Inns of Court recognizes a local Inn's mastery of five core competencies of successful Inns: administration, communications, programs, mentoring and outreach activities. Awards are given at the bronze, silver, gold and platinum levels.

  3. November 24, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tahoma Room, Thomas Hall room 363, on the U. Puget Sound Campus for Regular Inn Meeting.
  4. December 8, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. at Zeeks (1702 Pacific Ave, Tacoma, WA 98402) for the Inn's annual holiday party.
  5. January 26, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tahoma Room, Thomas Hall room 363, on the U. Puget Sound Campus for Regular Inn Meeting.
  6. February 23, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tahoma Room, Thomas Hall room 363, on the U. Puget Sound Campus for Regular Inn Meeting.
  7. March 12, 2026, time and location currently TBD, Joint Three Inns Meeting at Seattle University.
  8. April 27, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the Tahoma Room, Thomas Hall room 363, on the U. Puget Sound Campus for Regular Inn Meeting.
  9. May: The date, time, and location of the Year End Pizza Party is currently TBD.

All meetings unless otherwise noted will begin at 5:30 p.m. Regular Meetings will consist of a social period, one-hour CLE presentation put on by that month’s pupilage group, and dinner. A map of the University of Puget Sound Campus with meeting locations is linked below:
