Welcome to the Honorable Peter T. Fay Inn of Court

St. Thomas University College of Law hosts the Honorable Peter T. Fay Inn of Court named after the late Honorable Peter T. Fay, Senior U.S. Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Judicial Circuit. The Fay Inn has been a charter member of the American Inns of Court for more than 30 years.  Judge Fay was the essence of the all that the Inn of Court stands for and is greatly missed by all those who were honored by the privilege of working alongside him.

This year we welcome back Honorable Jason Emilios Dimitris, Circuit Judge, Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, as President, for The Honorable Peter T. Fay Inn of Court. Judge Dimitris graduated cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 1998 and was admitted to practice by The Florida Bar. He served as Federal Prosecutor, Statewide Prosecutor, and State Prosecutor from 1998 – 2007. Judge Dimitris went on to become the Inspector General and Chief of Staff for the Florida Department of Children and Families from 2007-2011. Judge Dimitris then served as General Counsel and Chief Ethics Officer for the Florida Department of Management Services until 2013 when he became a judge.
