Yeakel IP Inn Application Information

The Honorable Lee Yeakel Intellectual Property American Inn of Court will be accepting applications for admission to our Inn during the month of May each year. Applicants are admitted as Student, Associate, Barrister, and Master members. 

The Inn meets monthly September - April of each year, with each meeting including dinner and a presentation by Inn members. However, due to the pandemic meetings were virtual during the past Inn year.  Inn members earn CLE credit for presentations and attendance. Information about the American Inns of Court can be found at www.innsofcourt.org.

Membership is limited and the number of admissions is based upon the available number of openings.

The Membership Committee is accepting applications until the last day of May each year, and it will nominate candidates for a vote by the Master members in June. The Membership Committee is co-chaired by Travis Wimberly and Brian Nash. For new member applications, please send a statement of interest, a resume, and two letters of recommendation to the above email addresses.  Please also indicate your law school graduation year.

For current Inn members with terms expiring in May, please re-apply by sending a statement of interest and law school graduation year to the above email addresses. If you do not wish to re-apply, please also send an email so that we may open up more spots to new members.

For Inn members that were removed due to the absence policy, please re-apply by sending a statement of interest to the above email addresses. In particular, please explain any relevant circumstances that may have led to your absences and the name of your previous group leaders and your contributions to the Inn.
