Community Outreach Program - Career Wardrobe

As a member of the American Inns of Court, the Doris Jonas Freed Inn is involved in a community outreach program. Outreach involves hosting, mentoring or providing activities that promote our Inn's movement in the legal community and public in general.

For our first community outreach activity, the members of the Inn have organized a clothing drive through Career Wardrobe, a non-profit organization in Philadelphia.  Career Wardrobe focuses on providing low or no cost work wear to men and women trying to reenter the workforce so that they have appropriate interview and work attire to obtain and maintain employment.  According to their website, 67% of their clients gain employment and discontinue cash assistance. Further information on the organization can be found in the attached document or on their website,

We are asking Inn members to provide any type of gently used men's or women's career wear including but not limited to full suits, shirts, skirts, pants, jackets, ties, belts, shoes, accessories etc. to be donated to Career Wardrobe.  These items need to be clean and in good condition, but do not need to be dry cleaned or perfect. All donations will be collected at the next DJF Inn of Court meeting which will be held on February 7, 2017.  The members of the Inn have arranged for a drop off at a collection site for Career Wardrobe the following day.

Please strongly consider participating in this community outreach activity.
