The Arthur J. Gajarsa American Inn of Court
Welcome to the Gajarsa Inn website.
The Arthur J. Gajarsa American Inn of Court is named for
esteemed Judge Arthur J. Gajarsa, recently retired, from the Court
of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC). Founded in 2012,
the Gajarsa Inn is presided over by New Hampshire Federal District
Court Judge Paul Barbadoro, and the Inn Counselor is Dean John
Broderick from the University of New Hampshire School of Law.
The goal of the Gajarsa Inn is to promote the highest forms of
civility, professionalism, education, and legal excellence in our
profession by providing 5-6 programs over the course of the year in
the unique professional tutelage and social environment established
by the American Inns of Court.
The Gajarsa Inn is divided into Pupillage Groups comprising
legal professionals of varied experience and expertise. When
a Pupillage Group is tasked with a program, the members of that
group must work together to determine a program and delegate
responsibilities for producing the program. It is expected
that the more experienced members will take a leadership role in
the effort while assisting the younger lawyers and student members
with the development and execution of the program.
Many of our programs have a focus on Intellectual Property (IP),
including topics related to patent law, trademark law, and
copyright law. The Gajarsa Inn is a member of the Linn Inn
Alliance, an affiliation of IP focused Inns named after Judge
Richard Linn of the CAFC.
